Pharmacy
Employment:
2022 –: Northeast Forestry University, Associate Professor
Research Specialty:
(Plant secondary metabolism, Enzyme catalysis, Synthetic Biology)
Research Interest:
My research focuses on the metabolism and regulatory network of steroidal saponin in plants, examining the key genes in the synthetic pathways as well as the differences in bioactivities caused by structural changes of small molecules. Meanwhile, I'm working on improving the catalytic efficiency of P450 cytochrome monooxygenases, α-ketoglutarate dependent dioxygenases, and UDP-glycosyltransferases involved in steroid modification through rational design and other means. To employ synthetic biology strategies to build steroid metabolic pathways in plant or microbial chassis in order to produce natural or non-natural steroids.
