Research Interest:
My research interest is plant physiology and ecology, plant physiology and microorganisms. My previous work focused on proteomics and physiological & ecological characters of plants under saline-alkali stress. Currently, my research team is working on plant physiology and ecology, woody plant physiology and microorganisms. We have isolated 6 strains ofMesorhizobiumand 1 strain ofBurkholderiathat tolerant to saline and alkali stress from a woody legume plant Robinia. The nitrogen-fixing rhizobia screened may be applied to incubating symbiont of rhizobia-legume, such as rhizobia-soybean and rhizobia-Cicer arietinumto improve saline-alkali stress tolerance and other stress tolerance of soybean &Cicer arietinum. On the other hand, we worked on gene functional analysis of a unique abiotic stress tolerant peach germplasm resource in Tibet,Amygdalus miraKoehne. The transgenicArabidopsis thalianaseedlings showed a better growth trend after high temperature (30°C), NaCl stress and heavy metal stresses. Our research may provide new references and attempts for improving the salinity tolerance characteristics of plants and the improvement and development application of saline-alkali land.
