The research direction of my laboratory is plant biological technology and genetic improvement. I have presided over and completed the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Research Foundation from Ministry of Education of China, the Natural Science Foundation of Heilongjiang Province and other 14 key projects. I acquired the Second-Class Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award twice, scientific and technological progress awards at provincial and ministerial levels six times, China Forestry Society Liang Xi Forestry Science and Technology Award once. My representative studies include cultivating insect-resistant transgenic birch, dissecting molecular mechanisms of triterpene signal regulation and biosynthesis inBetula platyphyllaSuk., and investigating molecular mechanisms of heterosis formation inFraxinus mandshurica.
