Research Interest:

My research interest is bacterial laccase in Microbiology, with the focuses on the theoretical and preliminary application studies. The CotA laccase gene fromBacillus subtiliswas cloned and expressed inEscherichia coli. The expressed laccase was in an active form. The purified CotA laccase possessed high stability towards alkaline pH, high temperature and some organic solvents. High efficiency in dye decolorization by the laccase was obtained in the absence of any mediator.
